Throughout the years, FOM has managed to develop a strong working relationship with the government authorities by engaging in societal developmental work such as inviting them to officiate meetings, sharing project reports, seeking their advice etc. These activities have enabled us to work with regional to village level authorities of different departments and of paramount importance to the education department who give permits to work with schools while department of Community Development coordinate the work of all NGOs in the district. Similarly, FOM works closely with other government officials i.e. teachers, ward executive officers, community development officers and uses structures already in place like schools and using SRHR curriculum (from the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elders and Children) for imparting knowledge and skills to adolescent girls in the project area. Some of the topics in the SRHR curriculum are stages and changes in adolescent life, behavior, Diet, Life skills just to mention a few.
